چکیده
The last 4 decades of this century have witnessed the evolution of liver and other organ transplantation to a high standard of care for patients with end-stage organ disease. In this chapter, we will focus on what has been accomplished at our center in: 1) defining the meaning of organ allograft acceptance and acquired tolerance; 2) improving survival after liver transplantation, with particular reference to tacrolimus, drug weaning, and disease recurrence, 3) applying lessons from liver and other organ transplantation to hepatointestinal and ORGAN ENGRAFTMENT AND ACQUIRED TOLERANCE
